History

Encavis AG is since 2018 the result of the successful merger of Capital Stage and CHORUS Clean Energy completed in the year 2017. Today Encavis is one of the leading independent and listed power producers in the market for renewable energy in Europe. Two solar and wind park operators and experienced managers in renewable investments will now be shaping the future together under the new name Encavis.

Capital Stage AG and CHORUS Clean Energy AG become Encavis. With a total generating capacity of more than 1.6 GW Encavis AG is one of the leading independent and listed power producers in the market for renewable energy in Europe.

The name Encavis stands for the company’s future and represents the three pillars on which it is built.

EN stands for ‘energy’, which is the basis for all of our activities.
CA stands for ‘capital’, which is the means by which we acquire solar and wind parks and with which we generate attractive returns.
VIS stands for ‘vision’, which represents our goal of creating the energy system of the future and of rendering renewable energy profitable.

Capital Stage AG successfully completes its takeover of CHORUS Clean Energy AG and now holds 100 per cent of the comapny in Neubiberg (Munich).

Capital Stage AG and CHORUS Clean Energy AG join forces. More than 94 percent of CHORUS shareholders voted in favour of the voluntary public takeover bid by Capital Stage within the official acceptance deadline.

2016 becomes a record year for electricity generation from solar and wind parks. CHORUS Clean Energy AG achieves a substantial year-on-year increase in the amount of electricity generated from solar and wind parks. A total of almost 400,000,000 kWh was produced across the entire plant portfolio in 2015. This compares with around 258,000,000 kWh the previous year, representing an increase of more than 50 percent.

IPO of CHORUS Clean Energy AG located at Neubiberg (Munich). The shares are listed on the regulated market (Prime Standard) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The total generating capacity of Capital Stage increases to over 500 MW of which more than 80 per cent are attributable to ground mounted PV parks.

Capital Stage sells a share in his PV park Brandenburg to Google. It is the first investment by Google in a renewable energy asset outside the USA.
