Hamburg, May 5, 2020 - Employees and corporate of the Hamburg-based ENCAVIS Group donated EUR 4,200 and handed over the symbolic cheque to the "Alimaus" homeless aid organisation at Nobistor in Hamburg-Altona.
ENCAVIS, unlike many other companies has not been greatly affected by the current COVID-19 crisis. All employees can consider themselves very fortunate to be able to work entirely from home. Almost all our work processes continue to run smoothly.
In times like these it is even more important than usually for us to show solidarity and offer help to those less fortunate than us. As a team we have decided to support an aid organization in form of a cash donation. A very special thank you goes to dedicated employees who gave the incentive for this.
To “Alimaus”, we as a team, say THANK YOU! “Alimaus” is a project of the Hilfsverein St. Ansgar e.V. It is made up of 200 volunteers that commit their hearts, minds and free time to offer a point of contact for homeless people near our office at Nobistor in Hamburg-Altona. In their more than 20 years of existence they have created and build up numerous projects and have become a point of contact for the daily needs of people on the fringes of our society.
+ Daily distribution of packed lunches and hot meals at the day care centre at Nobistor and via the so- called "Kältebus“
+ Accommodation of homeless people in hotels in cooperation with a deaconry
+ "Nobis Bene" medical and sanitary aid for the needy
+ Mobile acute consultation hour in the health bus for uninsured people
+ Clothing store "Don Alfonso" free of charge used clothing
+ "Metanoite - You may live to change!" pastoral care for the homeless
