Encavis AM has accompanied the purchase of a wind farm in southern Germany as an investment advisor to the special fund Encavis Infrastructure Fund II S.A. (SICAV-RAIF), which was set up in cooperation with Bayerische Landesbank. The wind park "Gussenstadt" in the Heidenheim district of Baden-Württemberg was put into operation in April last year. Four turbines from Nordex ensure a total generating capacity of around 14 MW at a hub height of over 140 metres. HANSAINVEST LUX is the fund manager.
The special fund CHORUS Infrastructure Fund S.A. (SICAV-SIF) which is managed by Hauck & Aufhäuser, was launched in 2014 and finances ever since solar and wind power plants in Germany and Finland. Recently, an institutional investor significantly increased its exposure. These funds have now been used to acquire, two open-space photovoltaic plants in sunny regions of southern France. Both solar farms add up to a nominal capacity of around 22 MW and benefit from long-term feed-in tariffs.
"In recent months, we have seen a steady increase in the number of our mandates and investors, as well as in sales," commented Karsten Mieth, CEO of Encavis Asset Management AG, the latest development. "Renewable Energies make an integral part of institutional investors’ asset allocation. Tailormade and flexible investment solutions for professional investors are the basis of our business model," explained Mieth the successful positioning of Encavis Asset Management AG.
